Processing Times

Normal Processing

Normal processing time is 2 working days in Geneva, followed by 10 working days in Canberra from the time your application is received, provided that all the required documentation and suitable photographs are submitted with the application.

Urgent Applications

The Passports Office in Geneva cannot process full validity passports in less than 10 days. Emergency Passports with a limited validity may be available to applicants who satisfy certain requirements and show a genuine need for the passport to be issued.
